Ecological Education at Clear Sky Centre, BC

At Clear Sky, we are devoted to ecological education.  We have a one acre food forest demonstration project, are involved with grasslands restoration education and run annual permaculture and food forest workshops with expert Canadian teachers.

With funding from the BC Agroforestry Industry Development Initiative, Clear Sky is designing and implementing a one acre showcase food forest model for South Eastern BC that is both ecologically sound and productive. We invite community participation and learning and welcome you on scheduled tours, workshops, courses and volunteer opportunities.

Food Forest Course Richard WalkerFood Forests Intensive Training Course, April 20- May 5 2013

Learn how to combine layerings of perennial nuts, fruits and medicinals for an abundant and diverse food and medicine supply in your garden or on your farm. This course is taught by Richard Walker, one of Canada’s most experienced forest gardeners.   Richard is also guiding the food forest demonstration project at Clear Sky, the establishment of which will be included in the extensive hands on component of this course.  You maybe eligible to qualify for a CBEEN bursary

Permaculture Course BC Canada Permaculture Design Certificate Course

This 2 week intensive residential course is taught by one of Canada’s leading permaculture instructors, Jesse Lemieux of Pacific Permaculture.
